With several generations of careful cultivation Penang island has become renowned for the quality of Durians that it produces.
In our orchard, we grow some of the most famous varieties of Durians that Penang has to offer. Just some of them include 'Ang Hair', 'No. 604', and 'Hor Lor'.
Hor Lor (Gourd)
The flesh is a deep yellow to golden colour. The flesh is soft and bitter with a strong aroma. This durian is quite distinct by its elongated shape similar to a gourd, hence its name.
Ang Hair (Red Prawn)
Its name comes from the similarity of its flesh colour to that of cooked prawns. The flesh is very soft, almost custard like texture, while having a bittersweet taste. Externally the thorny husk is roundish in shape.
This is our signature durian. The flesh is more of a yellow colour with a sweet and creamy texture which will keep you coming back for more.
Our Penang Asam Laksa is home cooked each day from a traditional nyonya recipe that has proved its popularity over three generations.
We never use food enhancers such as Monosodium Glutamate in our cooking. The vegetable ingredients that we use are always fresh and we obtain our fish from local markets. It is our aim to produce good and delicious home cooked food.
For only RM4.00 a bowl, you can experience the quality that Penang food has become so renowned for. We only cook a limited amount each day so do come early to avoid disappointment.
When its gone, it's gone!
We also produce the popular Penang snack 'pai tee' for RM4.00.
